Procrastination is a slow rot that eats away at the foundations of every good initiative one starts.

Not doing something today thinking that tomorrow I will have the time is foolish–there is no time but now, so do not put things off. The road to “someday” leads to a place called NOWHERE. And how many countless people end up there!

Thus, I will not delay actions I can take today. I will start the things I want to create, not when I think I am ready, but now–I will learn along the way. Be it a book, be it a piece of art, be it a relationship, be it a business project, it is far better to have started a year ago. But there is no sense in bemoaning that late start. The only time, and the best time, has always been and will ever be now, at this very moment. Nothing else exists but the present.

I will remember that today, the time I have in this day is the only time I have to change my future, for tomorrow will be today soon enough. And I can never get more time.

Today, I will take action.

Baby steps also applies..... as long as one doesn't BS oneself. So, some today, some tomorrow - but I must mean it when I say tomorrow.

And we don't have to beat ourselves up for failures either, just be willing to try again, a little harder.

I've found that a useful re-frame is to think of working on a challenging goal or task for a limited period as a vote for yourself eventually becoming the kind of person that can do it.

So you might not feel like gym, but think of spending just 5 minutes doing pushups as a vote for yourself becoming the kind of person who gyms regularly. Or you might not feel like working on that project you've been putting off, but spending just 5 minutes on a first or next step is a vote for yourself becoming the type of person who gets it done.

The reason this works is that action precedes motivation, not the other way around. If you wait for the feeling of being motivated first, it seldom comes or lasts long. If you act first for a limited period of time, even when you don't feel like it, and even if only for a short time, it creates the motivation to do it again and if you do it enough you'll eventually find yourself extending the period that you work on it.

Sorry bud, as per the op that means you are a loser :(
"Tomorrow is a losers excuse"

There is no time but now,” he says, while I bravely open a new browser tab, make tea, and emotionally prepare to begin… tomorrow. The road to “someday” leads to nowhere, but at least nowhere has snacks and Wi-Fi

Or a way of reducing future regret at the things I wanted to do but never did.

I put this off for as long as possible... Can we start this next week?

First week back to work next week.. Can we delay for the week after so I can get into the groove.
That makes perfect sense, though I say we just start in February, that way we can be sure we are 100% ready.

February is a short month though, won't be able to achieve the required stuff. I reckon we just start in March.

Argh but March is most companies year ends and tax season. So April is probably going to be a muuuuuch better bet.
