Played it a few times in my wedding DJ career, usually at those weddings where you're paid double rate to stay after 12 and end up playing till 02.30 before they give up.

Lol its always a priceless moment when you catch them mid gutter talk and a lame cover up follows. In most cases it's a simple matter of the guys just being respectful which is sweet but when their is a serious mismatch in values shame. It is always confusing when a guy marries one type of women because she ticks certain boxes yet lusts after another. He might uphold a certain image but will never be satisfied.
 
OP, yes it is rude and you will pay dearly. Keep your lame jokes for the stag night.
