My wife has a iphone 5 with a nano sim in. She wants a bigger phone so I got her a Galaxy S3 which takes a bigger sim but when I insert the nano sim it will not work. I just read online that the nano sim might not work in a bigger sim slot because of the connectors, could that be the issue maybe?

I am trying to get her either a Galaxy S3 sim from her service provider or save money and get her an adaptor but first want to try all options before buying something.

I have personally "reverse engineered" a normal size sim card to fit into an Iphone.....

So the connector's not working I don't think is true. Might have trouble fitting it in tight enough to get picked up.

But to solve that check the below link, actually saw it like 30 minutes ago.

cost you about R60 for delivery..

Do a SIM swop.

What you mean?

I know the service provider will swop her info and airtime on the nano to the bigger sim but could I use the nano sim in the bigger sim slot if I set it correctly on the connectors?

Yes, but ur cutting a bigger sim at specific places to fit a smaller slot, so the sim is now the correct size for said slot placing the connectors in the correct place.

What op is wanting is to put a 2" tube into a 3" and still maintain an airtight seal, just by putting it in properly.

While yes it's likely possible he could maneuver it to the correct spot, he the picks it up, sim moves, back to the beginning.

Seriously, a sim swap is like a few bucks, this is seriously retarded trying to put a nan sim into a micro slot, its not like you swapping between phones every few minutes.
