Hi there,

Did not know exactly where to post this as it deals with both Iburst and ADSL. Does anyone have information on why UUNET services are so poor? I see the in the iburst forums, how quickly we blame WBS, but I see in the ADSL forums that all the ADSL users on UUNET are having major issues.

If you are with UUNET how is your connection today?

Can't do anything with any server that is not local today.

According to iBurst helpdesk "UUNET is down" and iBurst are still waiting for mere ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the problem, several hours down the line.

UUNet is the most useless ISP under the sun. They have had the crappiest bandwidth for as long as I can remember. I used to work for Mweb when they were still partners, should hear all the complaints from the NOC. Damn, UUNet shucks like electrolux.

Rath : If UUNET is down, why don't iBurst just use their 15mb IS pipe they have (according to slimothy)

That is why (slimothy, if you read this, I'm talking to you) I said that there is NO pipe with IS. This proves it.

Smells like BS to me. UUNet, by contract, have to acknowledge real problems they are aware of. The only way it would not be acknowledged is if they do not know.
The easiest way to check that is to go to
http://www.uunet.co.za/_service/networknotices/default.asp?n=910

It's their network notice page, any problem they know of must be posted there.
