A "safe" Sh1t1 Golf

No point in having an air bag if the entire passenger compartment is a mangled mess of crumpled steel.

LOL. This joke has been going on for way too long...can't they just kill the Citi already. I mean an airbag in a Golf is like someone bringing out a 17" HD tv that can only display B&W.

It's like being smashed in the face with a crowbar... but they put a bit of bubble wrap on the crowbar.
 
I saw this at AutoAfrica, anyone else seen the steering wheel? Its hideous!!! absolutely ugly, rather not have it in my opinion!!

The sound quality from the Lightning Audio package is bloody good!! I couldnt get mine to sound like that!:o:o

I think the 1.6 would need ABS doubt the slower ones need it..

R105k for a Cit Rox!:eek: and its slower than a Velociti 1.6 lol crazy...

Sigh so the Hijackers will be safe in the new Golf. Sigh most stolen car in SA.
 
Take a jam tin fold it 3 times and then you have the body of a citi golf.
The thing is horribly put together.
 
A lump of **** with a purple bow tied around it and a SHOX speaker, is still a lump op ****.

IMO a car is whatever the driver is.
An M3 can be more economical than a Prius and release less carbons than the Prius, depending on the driver.... actually thats Topgears opinion and it was tested!:)
A golf can be safe than an X5, depending on the driver.
Accidents happen yes. But if anyone thinks their car will save them they wrong!

ROLMAO.

This has me wondering why SA doesn't have minimum standards for vehicles, some might say that it will add to the price of cars but damn, we shouldn't still be seeing the POS on the roads. I know there's a lot of people who love the Citi but I doubt anyone would love it so much if they involved in a collision at speed.

O rly? Yes, defensive driving is safer than reckless driving. But the safety of one's car certainly goes a long way in protecting the car's occupants in a collision. That's a fact.

The Golf is from the 80's - and modern engines will outperform any car from the 80's.

An 80's car with a modern engine in just is asking for trouble.

MK1 GTis are still quick, the Superboss aswell. The 325is is still a machine!!
