Well I just signed up with Cybersmart www.cybersmart.co.za and I must say they're awesome. The signup process took literally all of 20 seconds and I had my account, they're well priced and when I phone or email with a question I actually get hold of people who know what they're talking about. Oh and if you don't have an adsl line they help you with organizing one.

Heartily recommended :D

Good to see an ISP doing what they're supposed to do. I suppose it's indicative of the industry here in SA that more dont.

heh :p
hrm i should keep them in my sig but i removed it cause well i got tired of the last one i had and the multi line sig thing killed it. btw interesting thing i find about them is that the only way i know about them was thru word of mouth, hellkom isp list and well thats pretty much all which is supprising to me.

Yeah, I'm also with Cybersmart and I must say I am very happy so far. There was a technical glitch, that saw one session of 380mb get billed 3 times, one e-mail and it was sorted in 10 mins. Very impressed. I was expecting a fight on my hands, knowing SA, but it was a nice surpise to see quick and efficient service.

Anybody know who they use for their backbone? SAIX or IS? Did they have any problems regarding bandwidth?

I'm always up to going to a better ISP if they offer good reliable service...;)

I'd say saix based on service, latency etc. That does however mean that accounts are hardcapped to the amount of bandwidth bought.

ThanxX

You know, I've just signed up with telkom to come and fit in My DSL line and I was a bit on edge when looking for a cheap ISP. I saw Cybersmart n thought something was wrong n did a bit of research on it. You guys made up my mind for me ThanxXX LoadzzZ:)

Yup , Im also with cybersmart and so far so good. And i can live with the hard cap..
