I'm looking for some inspiration,

I really want a new car by July,

Total Cash needed: 45k
Amount I am likely to save: 20k

How am I going to make the 25k excess

I'm pretty sure its impossible but I am hoping some bored person will come up with a bright idea.
 
thats an extra R5k a month.

work as a waiter every night and on weekends? That has a double bonus. Money earned while working and money saved wile not partying.
I used to earn in excess of R8k a month working nights and weekends.
You will need to be able to get by with less than 4hrs sleep a night tho. Added bonus is that you will lose alot of weight in the process.

Don't buy a car by July. Save 45k, even if it takes you until this time next year. It would be stupid to get a loan just because you want a new car.

Remember, rich people don't get rich because of high salaries - they get rich because of good financial choices. The same applies here. But if you can think of a way to earn extra cash, that's obviously good as well ;)

Mmm I think Charlie Sheen would beg to differ there. Or how many good financial choices do you think Paris Hilton has made in her life? :D

But yes you're right.

OP, if you don't have the money now, rather wait until you do.. You said you wanted a new car so I'm assuming you don't need one very badly.
 
Watch 2 or 3 episodes of WSOP... all you need to become an expert at Texas Hold'em

Then come play some poker at Monte.

Its for a FAST car, I am tired of my poopy Corsa Lite, Nope no loans, just got out of debt,
My spidey senses are also tingly - always an angle, now roulette :)
 
For interest sake what are my loan options, if I can find something in the range of 15,5% I would consider it. Personal Loans have an interest rate of 27 - 32%
 
personal loan? wtf no ways boet don't ever go down that path... If you really want a vehicle loan, you can get one through wesbank etc.. and if your credit record is good your interest rate should be prime or less than prime. If you have a shoddy record, then it could be a different story altogether.
