1. Calling people who do stupid things monkeys is a normal thing to say in a normal society but in South Africa people do take offense even if you were not referring to race. Don't do it and stay away from similar wording.
2. If you want to attack a race it is better to say it through what you are not saying. Be smart with your words and stick to factual events.
3. This forum is not intended for racial debate. If you go outside what the moderation guidelines allow we will delete it and infractions will be flowing.
4. Think about this fact. This forum is a multi-racial forum. If you rant about a race other than your own, chances are somebody will be affronted. If your statement is based in fact, that doesn't matter, but if you just make wild statements based on emotion, how other people feel, does matter and we will infract you for that transgression.
5. Consider how others will feel when you make a statement on race. Seriously, consider it and consider how you say what you feel you need to say. Why hurt when you can engage constructively?
6. Understanding that we live in South Africa and given our history it is a given that South Africans love talking about race and racism. If you are at the receiving end of an upsetting comment by somebody on your race please remember the REPORT BAD POST function. Do NOT engage such postings using aggressive wording in turn. If you do reply, play the ball and not the man. In other words do not get personal. Rather rip what was said to shreds with logic.
