A0 wide format printers

Hi GUys

Who are the best guys for A0 printers, Wide format for CAD, and also what are the best brands.
So far I heard that Cannon is the best.

All the architects and engineers I know use the same A0 plotter as us. HP Designjet 500 Plus.

It cost around R28k back in '07 but the ink cartridges last forever. Takes roughly 5mins to plot 1x A1 colour print, auto feed & cut.

^^ What Voicy said. Can't go wrong with the HP Designjets. the 500's been replaced by the 510.

Just make sure you familiarize yourself with the support companies that do the servicing/warranty support on these units and try find out their reputation regarding the after sale service they provide. It's not like you'll be walking out the local pc shop with a printer under the arm that you can just carry back if it fails.
