Aaaand lvl 6 again

So what we do is we get a bunch of hamster wheels and then we fill those wheels with hamsters. Next, to these hamster wheels we attach explosives because we're screwed either way.

Update: At 11:00, Eskom issued a statement saying that since Thursday afternoon, breakdowns of a unit each at Duvha, Grootvlei, Tutuka, Kriel, Lethabo, and Camden power stations occurred.

It also lost two units at Kendal Power Station.

“In addition, the delay in returning to service a generating unit each at Arnot, Duvha, Matla, Camden and Hendrina power stations has contributed to the capacity constraints,” Eskom stated.

“Regrettably, no units were returned to service in the past 24 hours.”

Eskom said it has 8,023MW on planned maintenance, while another 16,672MW of capacity is unavailable due to breakdowns.

A system is required on the IEC level that any democratically voted in government's staff including the presidency should only be allowed to make use of the services they provide. For personal and private use. No generators, no private hospitalisation and no private security. If they don't like the service either enhance it or let it go and privatise it.

That planned maintenance is quite high actually for Eskom. Although I remember we were on Stage 6 when 19000MW was unplanned so something strange is going on.

Anyone surprised? It's not going to get better, it's going to get worse. Much much worse, we are ****ed and there is no way out of this.

This is true. There is no other way. They're not building new capacity. They're just putting band aids on a soon to be corpse hoping it will bring complete recovery.
