Can't get rid of Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot and worms Nikalod and Oragpin!! Tried malwarebytes and Norton but they keep coming back! I suspect I got them from work on a memory stick any tips..or do I format?

My advice would be to put your drive into another PC and scan if you want to try preserve the content. However, the only certain way to purge your PC is a format.

Thing is that if I remove the virii and reboot it just recreates itself ..format seems inevitable. Just so damn frustrating and a real time thief

Which is why I suggested putting drive into another PC (slave) and then scanning (without running anything off the drive). And yeah, formatting is a drag but if it comes to that... you don't have much choice

Lord Anubis are you familiar with making a backup image of your entire C partition? (no sarcasm)

Do you have an external HD?

download hostsperm to replace existing host file as the virus usually takes control of this file and keeps bringing itself back
