Ok, so out of all the base-stations that your UTD has been connected to, is there any noticeable difference between base-stations?
[assuming that you know the sweet spot for each base-station]
What max distance have you tried/achieved from any particular base-station?

well yes there is difference, undoubtably, and finding a sweet spot is the same for any basestation, you just tweak untill you are at the peak, but I can't really comment on all the stations I've connected to because at home my modem has its perfect little spot that I found after about 2 months, with other stations I just move it around till I have OK connectivity, And I never really stress test or anything just basic web activity. When I was on the west rand middle of last month I found a station very similar to Kempton, but it may have been a fluke, I think the best peopel to ask about different base station are the ones who live by and use them regularly, since they probably know how it is in more detail

IC - i used to connect in the centre of town - well near jeppe and now in Kyalami . In the beggining the jeppe one was faster than the T1 line i had in Los Angeles and the Kyalami one was really bad - now its the other way around although the Kyalami one is not lightning fast. The one in town is really shocking now. Dont know why. As for Kyalami i think i used to connect off Bryanston and now off Kyalami. Hope this makes sense.
