So I installed this game in WINE, did the training level and started off on the first level and it's awesome. gfx are a bit dated so I downloaded a a few HD texture packs and mods to install tomorrow. HTF do they go from this to the latest deus ex I played, it's a goddam sin how they screw up sequels!

True that. The latest Deus Ex wasn't bad, but it simply cannot compare to the original game.
Anyway, enjoy! Deus Ex is one of the finest videogames you can play. I really envy anyone who gets to experience it for their first time ever.

I must've played the original atleast ten times since 2000. One of the most epic games of all time. Nothing can compete with the story line alone.

Brilliant game. One of my all time favourites along with Half-Life. Enjoy
