Since there is no Absa app for my new Lumia I have had to do banking on a galaxy pocket that I use as a mobile hot spot. Infrequently I also use a Proline tablet that I catch the news with while in bed.
A few days ago there was an app update and it no longer worked on the tablet. (crashed before it even attempted to open)
This morning a new update and behold the little galaxy also stops working(on tapping the icon the screen turns yellow and freezes)
After un- and re installing on both devices nothing changes and I phone the bank helpline. Eventually I get directed to the technical helpline. What a horrible experience. After about two hours that left me weak and trembling I give it up.
Any advice will be welcome. I have been with Absa since UBS days but I must must have an app. I am about 45 mins away from the nearest branch and I do all my banking online. I am retired and travel a lot so do not spend much time with my PC.
I suspect both devices are short on resources for the upgrade but nobody can tell me. But then it should not download on the device. I am not going to give up my Lumia so I may have to change banks.
