Prety good benefits and they seem to be growing due to the pace they are recruiting at. I know a few years back the Barklay culture was clashing horribly with ABSA and there was a lot of tension but of late I hear that is much better. I am on course with a few ABSA Cap people (seeing them later today) and they seem to enjoy working there.

I worked there. Lasted 9 months. I'm a creative innovative type always looking to improve the systems I look after. This was actively discouraged there.
Barclays IT run the show from London. No autonomy or trust for the SA IT staff.
I would never go back, but I know people who love it there.
Benefits are free banking and prime minus 2.5 on bond and car finance. Bank med medical aid and the usual pension etc. Leave depends on your salary grade and is generous (I had 28 days a year)
