Absa fraud warning

I do like the proactive stance from ABSA. But it isn't very user friendly. By auto declining the purchase and then to whatsapp me to ask me if the purchase was fraudulent or not and then if I answer yes. I am told to try again in 5mins.

Very annoying.

My steam game purchases just get declined. Not even a WhatsApp. Thinking of reviving an old capitec account and using that for all purchases and then downgrading absa to the lowest account.

FNB does a similar thing, but very annoying is that it’s often delayed and not even once has it been anything remotely like a fraudulent transaction.

Pretty much every time it’s a big brand company I’m paying on a regular monthly basis or have used many times before that for some reason they decide suddenly feels like fraud.
