Don't know when it happened but ABSA released their ADSL product.

ABSA Internet Banking customers: R225/3GB
All others: R250/3GB

The Financial Services Board should restrict financial institutions to strictly operate within their field of expertise or allow Internet Service Providers to operate the own banking sections such as PayPal!

Wait a minute, didnt absa try the same thing with Dialup, and then sell it off because it wasnt part of their "Core" business...

I was hoping they will match their R45 dial-up access for IB clients, and do the same for ADSL, instead it is just another us2 deal. ABSA is still doing dial-up, it was some insurance company that sold their ISP business.

I used to work for ABSA, so I know the mindset. Obviously their main focus is not the ISP business, so the ADSL service is just to benefit existing AIA dial-up users.
