Absa lands in China

Absa has announced that it is building a physical presence in China, opened a non-banking subsidiary in the country to provide advisory services.
Advise. "Do not invest on South Africa" ;)

I will definitely be stocking up on Absa shares in future. Great potential if they do not f**k the business up there.

They'll stupidly lend money to the next Evergrande and then we will all finally be rid of that hideously idiotic logo of theirs!

Seems everyone is fondling China balls for some reason. I guess everyone will sell their soul for money these days.

Bit slow today.

So now is probs not the best time to mention they are late.

Standard Bank's leading shareholders are....CHINESE. (and some Jews)

Capitec has JP Morgan on its list of Shareholders, and Absa has the Singaporean GIC investment company.
Obviously the PIC from South Africa has bits and pieces here and there too.

The Singaporean GIC is actually quite interesting. It invests public money to grow the wealth of Singapore, and invests a lot in startups that grows into big conglomerates.

To be honest I would rather invest in Indonesia, but the Chinese need to expand on their savings and bankings, yet Indonesia would be far more beneficial. They dont even have a credit bureau. So you can max out your credit card and disappear and the other banks will be none the wiser. They dont talk to one another. But they have a better NHI system than us. Quite cheap really.

Europe and the USA is technically bankrupt, yet they arent really. However the housing market crashed when people can declare bankruptcy, give back their house etc, and start over with a clean slate and no debt there. Yip people had been borrowing upto 2-3x the value of their house, and then...returned the keys, so all the debt was against the houses. Stupid banks.

I have a bad feeling about this...

But we all know the Chinese economy's in the dunny. Going to be interesting to see what happens next.

Ppl with Blapsa investments should rather shift these over to other banks.
