Absa online banking system is down

Absa’s online and mobile banking platforms have gone down, the bank confirmed in a tweet.

Customers began reporting Absa online and mobile banking issues from after 11:00, with Absa’s Down Detector page showing a large spike in problems at this time.

What kind of issues are you having? Used mine on the app without issue at 7:30 this morning.

Use it on a near daily basis. No problems from my side.

Apologies for the necro. Is anyone else having issues logging into the ABSA Business banking site (below)?



A client gets to this login page, enters his details and then after several seconds, gets a message to say 'the server did not respond'. Tried in Chrome & Edge with the same result. Before I pontentially spend several minutes on the line with Absa, just wanted to check if it perhaps a more widespread issue?

I have seen that earlier this week, checked now and it seems to work - for now.
