Does anyone have a list of stored that participate in the ABSA rewards programe? The list on the ABSA website seems a bit incomplete.

Is the Absa rewards really worth it?
Its R21 a month i think, which is actually BS, FNB doest charge you to earn ebucks

I'd like to know if it's worth it as well. I wouldn't mind paying R21 if Pick and Pay was one of the participating stores, but I don't see it on the list.

It is worth it. You get 1% back on all electronic transactions which easily covers the R21.

Yeah well after 3 months, my reward balance is just over R200, so I'm not losing anything.

Would have really helped if they updated the list on their website, again shows you what a fantastic bank ABSA really is....

Okay, so say for instance i have R200 rewards, can i use it on anything, or can i only spend it in specific stores on specific products?
are any petrol stations part of the list?, since they ask how much you spend on fuel per month?

Fuel purchases do not count towards rewards. IMO FNB's eBucks system is much better that ABSA rewards.

i agree 100% that the ebucks are better, the only reason i still have ABSA is coz its to huge of a slep of moving everything over to FNB.

It is strange however that on the ABSA Rewards site they ask you how much you spend on Fuel, its pointless if they are not planning on giving you anything back.

It's not worth it if you buying stuff just to get the discount. These incentives also hide the fact that the prices at participating stores are usually slightly higher than elsewhere, resulting in additional hidden costs.

I'm not so sure this is the case. Checkers, Pick 'n Pay and Spar are all participating stores, and I buy all my stuff there anyway ;)

You can get 1% in EBucks at PNP plus 1% in Smart Shopper.

When you spend EBucks you can get up to 40% discount on giftcards to use at Makro, Woolworths, Dischem and others.

If you get to the 15% fuel discount you are at the 40% discount level.

However there is an annual EBucks charge.

ABSA are not even close.

Say I spend 4k at these stores a month...what's my rewards. I saw on another forum that you also get Mtn rewards...is this correct?

MTNSP is no longer a partner. You used to get 10% off your MTN bill which was really great because my contract was with them so I got about R40 back monthly. The rewards are cash, you just ask them to transfer the money into your bank account.
