Hello guys,

I have searched this sub-forum and can't find any thread that touches on this. I recently subscribed to this program as my cellphone contract alone will give me more than double the monthly cost of this program. I registered using my cheque account, but I also have a credit card linked to it. I then inquired via the email correspondence to ask them if purchases on my credit card will also be seen by the rewards program. They responded by sending me a pdf which is the exact same information as the website - word for word, which didn't really answer my question.

And I would also like to know if someone on hear knows how to check what the amount is that is payable to you, as you can only claim once the amount is more than R50. Do I call the same number that I have to call to claim, and isn't there a way to do this electronically?

Thanks guys

I registered for the program and in 4 months have more than R300 and I too took it for the MTNSP 10% back. According to the guy who phoned to sell me the thing, all your ABSA accounts qualify and you can phone the rewards number to claim. I had R300 last month and have made a point of using rewards partners whenever I can and will have the money paid out at the end of the year. They will pay into an account of your choosing or they open a savings for you if you want.

Unfortunately this latest program doesn't seem to have an electronic feature like the old leisure link one.

That is good to know. How do you know you have R300? Do they send you a statement or do you phone in to check? I am going to go to a higher package on mtn anyway so this is good news for me. I also only fly kulula because of vitality and pay via my credit card, hopefully they will allow the discount and the cashback. That would be awesome.

They send SMS updates of your rewards balance... not sure of the frequency but I have received 2 in the 4 months I have been on the program.

I registered about 4 months ago and changes grocery shopping from Pick 'n Pay to Checkers. So far I've forked out R100 on Rewards subscription and my rewards total is R25.

This hasn't changed since the first month so I'm cancelling.

Well I will receive atleast R48 a month because of my mtn subscription and going on a higher package soon so will expect to get +- R75 back. I also fly allot so hopefully the kulula thing works out.

rewards programmes are crap. that being said, it reminds i probably have enough eBucks to buy a Bluray or a PC game.

ABSA just tried to sell me this. The lady said that the rewards membership fee will be paid for by the rewards earned, I had a feeling she was talking rubbish.

Is it worth the 20 bucks in your opinion?

Yes, but I have a mtn contract which already pays the membership plus an extra R30 for me at the moment.

And no, the money still come out of you bank account but I think she meant that the rewards will cover your membership fee. I will definately earn atleast R30 each month, but look at the partners and see how much you use them.

I think if you're doubling your money then yes but if you have to completely change your buying habits to earna couple of bucks then no.

It didn't work for me but I'm sure you'll benefit.

Okay so in that case its a good deal, but it don't buy from any of their partners on a regular bases. You only earn rewards when buying from their partners right?

I dunno, I visited but nothing enticed me. What are the top 5 benefits?
