Hi all.

I was recently shocked to see how much cash my mom has parked in her cheque account. Would really prefer for that money to be earning some interest. She is saving for a largish item so this money can't be tied up in a fixed or flexi deposit, or any other risky investment.

So my question is, does absa have a savings pocket type account, where the money would earn some interest yet be available immediately?

Depositor plus. Used to use it and it was good...min R1K and interest rates up to 6.75%. Have moved to FNB now - they have the money maximiser which gives 7.25%.

Thanks, will definitely check that out. On that topic, I recently started using FNB and never heard of the money maximiser. Care to elaborate?
