Just received an email of an ABSA scam:

Dear Customer,

Your ABSA online banking access has been limited.
We suspected someone other than you with
IP 126.370.42.86 trying to access your informations.

Please verify your banking information with us to show
that you are not currently away.
You have to verify this as soon as possible to keep
your online bank account from getting blocked

Initiate the Process (LINK: http://alpstorrent.com/mes/secben/cni/nifes/sbi/nnes.php)

This email was sent from ABSA secure server
and is done for your banking safety.

I do not even bank with ABSA! So heads up ABSAtonians :D

I get hundreds of those every month for all kinds of institutions. Gmail automatically weeds them out and puts them in my spam folder.

Not really worth making a new thread about now. If anyone doesn't know about this by now, they need a wake up call.

I just went and entered fake information. It is quite interesting, they actually ask you for you once time password.

Wonder how they get it sent to your phone.

They type in the details as it's sent to them, then use the OTP you type in :)
