Fun times! Accessing ABSA's internet banking website on Chrome 70 Beta (To be released officially around 16 October) results in a lovely "Your connection is not private, NET::ERR_CERT_SYMANTEC_LEGACY" error message. This has been known to be coming since last year, and seems like ABSA doesn't care.
I messaged them on social, they gave me an email address. I emailed them on the 5th of October, got a response on the 6th to be told "Try in private browsing mode", obviously that didn't solve it, so I replied within a couple of minutes. They then responded on the 8th that I need to make sure the date/time on my computer is correct (which it is, and obviously wouldn't fix it). Got a reply today to say "The error is with the browser, please try via an alternate browser e.g. Internet explore" (Typo and all)
I've got a Macbook, so "Internet Explore" isn't an option. Yes, it currently works in Firefox and Safari, but not for long (Both Mozilla and Apple will be distrusting the certificate soon).
ABSA's going to have loads of fun in about a week when Chrome 70 gets released to GA.
