Does ABSA have anything similar to FNB’s virtual cards? The ABSA Digital Card seems the closest, but it use the same card number and CSV as the physical card. I’m looking for a virtual card that is separate from the physical card, preferably also with a rolling CSV.

Not that I am aware of. I usually use my Capitec account for virtual cards. I assume VCPay or similar could also be used.

Unfortunately you can’t have both. Either you have a bank that takes 10+ months to launch Apple Pay(FNB and SBSA) or you have a bank that doesn't have rolling CVV’s but a digital card and new features sooner. Cant have both it seems:ROFL:

The only place where the rolling CSV bothers me is Snapscan and Zapper. A rolling CSV is added security and prevents dodgy merchants from using your card for future purchases. I can use my physical card for recurrent transactions if necessary, while using the virtual card for online purchases. The physical card remains in the safe at home. It works very well for me.

Thanks! At least I haven't missed something on their website when searching for solutions, then. I'm at FNB and my GF is at ABSA. Somehow the two evils seem to be pretty much evenly matched.

Have noticed the option for a while now under cards. Probably done with testing.

Would prefer this over FNB card system crashing again for the 100th time on black friday.
