Driving with Air Conditioning on or Windows
Open , Which Saves petrol?

Depends what speed you're driving.

Windows down if you driving around town. AC if you're on the freeway.

For me it's aircon on. I'll take comfort and safety over a slight increase/decrease in fuel efficiency.

From what I remember on mythbusters, anything below 60km/hr it is better to roll down windows. Any faster and AC is more efficient.

The first mythbusters one they did on it was revisited. They tested all sorts of things, including different car types/shapes and driving situations. Hence, in general anything under 60km/hr use windows, any higher use air-con. At 60km/hr, the difference is so small you might as well AC as it is more comfortable.

On freeway out of the city it's windows down in but urban areas windows up and ac on. Too much risk driving with the windows down.

Windows up all the time for me. Freeway it's too windy and noisy with them down, and in town someone wants to steal all my stuff, guaranteed.

Paper values.

Use the aircon it's almost as cheap as the windows on modern cars and works much better.

Can't stand the noise from open windows above 40km/h anyway.

laughing out loud.loving it how most members are changing the fuel efficiency to crime.lol big up.

If it's a nice day my windows will be down until the first robot with a beggar then they will be up the rest of the way...

Windows down to get rid of the immediate heat and hot air, and when it's more balanced aircon time.

Exactly. When my car's been parked in the sun and it feel like an oven, driving with all windows open for a bit is the fastest way to cool it down. Then close them and turn on AC.

I don't worry about getting robbed because I'm currently living in New Zealand :p

Neither....Climate Control :p

I paid for it and I'm going to use it! Only time my windows are open is over a very short distance and I had to open it for paying a car guard or something.
