I upgraded to 8mbs yesterday, was also expecting a bit more. But when I actually measured and saw that I averaged 750kbs on NNTP, I realized its probably normal

I was on 2mbit and yesterday morning decided to get 4mbit. The jump was too little for me so I phoned this morning again to upgrade to 8mbit. I'm very happy now.

For future reference: sync speed/8 = x and then to get the real world speed x - 15%, 15% is the typical protocol overhead.

8184kbps/8 = 1023KBps

1023KBps - 15% = 869.5KBps
