Hi
What is a acceptable speed for a 8mbit ADSL line?
~750KB/s
Ok, cool. Then I'm happy. Was hoping for close to full speed, but I know that's not possible.
What is the speed you get?

840 - 850KB/s
Nice, so you're probably syncing at higher than 8192kbps.

8184kbps

I got 250 on my 2mbit and 444 on my 4mbit line. That's the highest you will get. I get max 420 on a 4meg line.

857 was highest on my 8mbit line.
I was on 2mbit and yesterday morning decided to get 4mbit. The jump was too little for me so I phoned this morning again to upgrade to 8mbit. I'm very happy now.
Saying or asking?Bumping the DSL profile speed is done instantly
For future reference: sync speed/8 = x and then to get the real world speed x - 15%, 15% is the typical protocol overhead.
8184kbps/8 = 1023KBps
1023KBps - 15% = 869.5KBps
9.41 would be closer.I just divide by 10.
Much simpler.
