I have replaced my 80 GB SATA harddisk in my laptop with a 320 GB harddisk.

When I plug the external harddisk into the computer, Win XP pick up the HDD Enclosure but doesnt give the drive a "Letter"

When I go to Disk management. it shows (C:) Disk 0 298.08 GB Healthy (System)

N00852 Disk 1 74.53 GB Healthy (Active)

What can I do to assign a drive letter to this disk without formatting the disk. Thanks

Control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management, right click on the gray area that represents the drive (where it says disk 0, cd rom 0 etc), choose change drive letter and paths & add new drive letter.
^^ on vista, may differ on other OS's

The only option available is "Delete partition" the rest is grayed out.
