Morning all,

Just a question, not really relating to a problem.
I have two access points set up
Internet.GPRS
MMS.GPRS

Whenever I open a browser, or something like Agile Messenger, it gives me duplicate entries for possible access points when asked to connect. Anyone else getting this?

Like I said, it is not a problem, I was just wondering about this.

Thanks

On my brothers phone he can make two connections using the same settings - maybe this is the same ?

Laterz !

Use the internet.GPRS setting the other one is for MMS messages

Erm, yes I know that ... my question is basically 'why' do I see two settings for each, if there is only one of each in the configuration

ooops sorry - my reading is a bit flaky after the weekend on the net. No, can't help there.!

No worries mate ... They say pr0n makes you go blind :D

Okay, my theories do not work. My problem, which I'm assuming is the same problem as yours... is even if I have a valid GPRS/3G connection currently initiated on my phone, and still connected... when I launch another program that connects to the net, it tries to RE-INITIATE another connection, even if it's the same one. It drops the first connection, and then reconnects, breaking whatever else may be using that connection.

It sucks. I don't have a workaround yet.

If you're talking about duplicate Access points, like 'GPRS.internet(1)' etc etc, just go into your settings menu and delete the duplicates.

I think however, my problem is more related to applications that don't properly understand how to use the Nokia 6680's functions properly, yet. Hopefully these will be fixed. The nokia apps on the phone seem to function perfectly.

I noticed the exact same thing ... Open the normal browser, and it connects via Internet.GPRS. Open Opera, and it tries to establish another connection.

Luckily I use my phone mostly with dial-up via Notebook or PDA, so it is not a big problem for me, I was more curious as to why it shows two MMS and two GPRS possibilities to connect
