I used to connect via ISDN to my old ISP (absa). From there I could connect to an access point in UUNET onto my workplace's notwork (using Securemote client authentication). I just had the line upgraded to DSL192 with 4 port marconi router. All works fine, but I cannot link to the server at UUNET. Now with Telkom internet (bad choice ?) Any ideas....

Maybe check the the router has port fowarding enabled for that port that the Securemote client uses?

Im not sure which marconi u using but look for something to do with Virtual Server

Thank you all for the help. The actual problem was that the private network range also existed in my workplaces network (10.0.0.0) When the firewall received the messages from the secure client, it routed all the responses into the network and not back to my pc.
I had to reconfigure the lan to a 196.10.0.0 range before it worked. Still not to sure as the public ip should have been used.
Nerve wrecking procedure as I don't have console access to the router. Had to use a http console. Lost connection everytime I made a change.
