So I just received my Mifi package from Afrihost and thought I could watch something during my lunch hour. But when I just tested it now, I got an App Error 1011.

On researching it, it seems as if it has to do with the new update of Netflix and a problem with the DNS setup.

As soon as I changed it to normal DNS, it went through, when I sign in, it says it is not available for my country. But that's what I've go the Unotelly for?

Anybody else experience this?

Thanks

Yes, when I don't update my IP in Unotelly I get the error. After I update the IP and force close(app kill) Netflix and start it again all is well

you have to update your IP on unotelly first. It's a bitch if it's multi-device and not on the same network (like you have)

Folks I am not going to debate the price of $5 if I had uncapped internet I would have invested in $5 already as paying R625 per month for premium service is way too expensive as is. Will give Netflix a bash - how much does netflix charge

What package are you on with which ISP?

R625 can get you 2meg uncapped, with Netflix and Unotelly included.

Netflix is $8 a month.

And 2meg is fine for Netflix.

I am not using an ISP, making use of SP Telkom Mobile/8ta but am considering going uncapped adsl...

Just the price to be a subscriber with a satellite provider that shows re-runs is unacceptable in my books. I love seeing new contents on a regular basis.

NetFlix do you download/stream in real-live time.

Yes. Everything plays like youtube. You might as well cancell your DSTV now.

For $8 a month you get dual view, for $12 you get quad view. That means 4 people can all watch at the same time, with their own profiles.

I'd recommend 4Meg ADSL if you want 3 or more people to watch at the same time.
