accom in Durban - christmas week

I've had this issue almost every year forever now...

Most companies close over the Chrismas break, which makes it an ideal opportunity to plan a family getaway. However, due to the high demand during the period, places charge like R1000 per night, which for a 7 night stay is like R7000.

Anyone can suggest decent self catering accommodation for Durban, North coast or South coast or even central for the christmas period?

Kelso is a "little" out of Durban and the in season prices are also fairly high.

no actually, link is for the specific place shown as it is one of the cheaper self catering places but the OP can find somewhere else with that site also.
Agree Kelso / Park Rynie is a little out of Durban, not that far though.
In season prices are high everywhere.
