Accomodation Price changes

Hi all,

So i booked a holiday for 2 nights on the 21st and 22nd

We are 5 adults, the place accommodates for 4 adults and 2 kids

When booking i asked if the adult can be accommodated and they said its fine.

The invoice says 5 +1 and also the price was set at the special price for midweek.

I paid the deposit when i booked and also the outstanding was paid yesterday, after that i got a call to say that the price given was wrong and 5 adults are not allowed. So they increased the price and i must pay the difference on arrival

Can this be done ?
 
from R700 to R1000 a night

i asked for them to email me but nothing as yet

so will see
I would say they should honor the agreed price. But I guess they can make the call to change. But then they should refund you 100% if you deem it too expensive

You have their confirmation that the 5th adult can stay there in writing?

yes the invoice says 5+1 (5 adults + 1 kid, the kid is 17 months)

and the amount of R700

after the phone call they sent a new invoice

cause why must i pay more when the initial price was R700
 
He meant that if you had written proof of them approving the 5+1 for R700 per night, you have nothing to stress about because they should honor it in that case.

This. OP, relax, they can't do anything. You were quoted a price and you paid for it. Take the CPA to them if they don't believe you.

hi,

i am just waiting on my deposit.

once they send it i will be contacting the CPA

After some arguing with the owner she paid back a R300, but this should be a lesson if they do this to others as well
