Hey guys this happened to me last week, and I thought for some reason I had forgotten my password etc. So I went to a festival this weekend. Got back and decided to try change the password. Well..

I reset the password and get an Origin email in russian. Now I realise somethings not correct. I couldnt even read the message because it was in russian but I just guessed that all I needed to do was type my new password then type it again in the box below.

So I changed the password and logged in to discover that this p#@S has dropped my K/D from 1.2 to 0.8, has changed my weapon set ups, and numerous other things.

This has honestly made my blood boil to an unbelievable point.

What can I do to protect myself against this *** again, and if possible what can I do to catch/ and or make this little ****s life living hell

Use a better password something unique also remember it's just a game...

My account also got hacked, a friend sent me a link to a website (he got hacked and the hacker sent me a message) It looked like a battlelog website so i entered my details. That is how he got my info.

The best way you can protect yourself is if you enable log in verification, which sends a code to your email address which you have to enter in Origin.

Dont install so many cracked applications on your PC. Visit fewer dodgy porn websites.

Always run legitimate software, a good antivirus (that is regularly updated) and an additional application like malwarebytes.

Take your security seriously, or expect this to happen regularly.

But the dodgy ones are the best... :D. Yeah guys thanks for the advice. I enabled the extra security feature in my origin account and changed my passwords. Thing is all my other accounts are the same password so Im going to change them all now. Just such a las that someone would actually do that, really gives me no faith in humanity

why dont you sign up to breachalarm.com?

a huge russian website just got a hold of millions of usernames and passwords including gmail and hotmail ones,
and log into them to steal info,

I got a alert one day your xxxyyyzzz@gmail has been hacked, please change your password, changed it
and then afterwards saw in my spam filter mails that were trying to get authorisation from paypal.

Another one that happened to someone was the usual email with fake invoice which actually is an exe file. They clicked on it and later on their email credentials were stolen and the attacker started sending out spam mails with dirty links via the stolen account details / mail server to various dubious addresses.

Security has never been more important
