Hi,

My contract came to an end. on march 1st, i sent my notification before and thought all is good.
September first they charged me, i was trying to send an enquirey , but the only way to email them is through the web portal , and when you do that , you dont get a confirmation back.

Only after getting the bank involved someone emailed me back asking for proof that i cancelled my membership at the end of February .
I tried to explain that i don't have a proof because the only way to contact them is through the portal and because the portal doesn't keep track of the emails, and they don't send a confirmation back i don't have a proof.

Last week i got a call, asking me to confirm the date of birth, i said i don't give personal information over the phone and they can email me, i also explained that i want everything to be in writing so we won't have any further issues.
she said "we are not the email department and we can't email" (????).

I put the phone down because it sounded like one big scam (although trucaller confirmed it's virgin active).
now they keep calling me, and i keeping emailing asking if we can resolve it over email....not sure what else to do.

any ideas will be appreciated...

Just block the debit order at your bank
Your contract is expired anyways

They typically have a month to month clause in the contract so thats not good advice.

@OP just keep proof of your cancel notification and always refer back to the first cancellation you made in correspondence then tell them to check their records as you have cancelled several times.

Best thing you could do is go speak to the branch manager, and work it out.

otherwise this will drag on forever.

Many years ago I paid for a full year upfront. The year ended and they had debited my account with a monthly fee. I checked my contract and had striked through the debit order details. I emailed virgin with a case number from the saps for theft. The charge was reversed quite quickly.

Go to the branch and have a chat with them? The people working at the front desk are quite helpful.

I had a Virgin contract 11 years ago , went onto Discovery ,got the gym for free . Virgin handed me over , even today MBD Attorneys phones and send SMS's .
I just laugh and put the phone down.
