Account suspension

Form the e-mail above it's clear it's not the first time they have suspended your account ;)

Blizzard will not ban an account without proof of such activities. I have had my account for almost 4 years now and never did anything remotely wrong. Not even Ninja loot :D. I only receive news letter from blizzard and nothing else. I take pity on those people buying/selling gold.

Just keep to the T&C and you should be problem free 100% of the time.

There is no way they will lift the suspension within 72 hours, just take a few days break from WoW, nothing else you can do.

Yes, I thought the email was quite clear too.

Dont understand why people need to buy gold. Its so easy to level now, and they dailies can you earn you so much.

Pitbull, zippy, I know for a fact that my account was not hacked and no gold was purchased.

I got 72 hour banned JUST for using a proxy. If you still feel like comforting yourselves by the thought that our accounts were banned for buying gold and that you are safe, think again, especially if you make use of proxies.

So on thursday my account issue was lifted even though the suspension was only suppose too be lifted on friday. So from then I have not used gamemax the entire weekend.

So your IP has suddenly changed from a european/US/whatever IP to a South African one. IDK,sounds compromised to me if the account changes by continent overnight ;)

*speaks with lack of technical knowledge*

Isn't that the whole point of a proxy service? I always understood/assumed that if you use such a service that your traffic gets tunneled and then emerges as if originating from where the proxy service sits, in this case, overseas.

I should stop being sarcastic and explain the logic then :P

See blizzard sees you playing from a specific IP range...your proxy IPs. Then suddenly your IP range switches over to a new IP on the opposite side of the planet. Logic dictates that somebody else has taken the account then. Proxies aren't considered because they aren't supported :)

Well, if you swop between proxy and non proxy connections within a short time frame then yes, it looks like you are bouncing around the globe.

If I tunnel Firefox through the proxy I get some sites in different language as it thinks I'm accessing the internet from Germany lol :P
