Account suspension

Just use a proper proxying service... stay away from the freeby dodgy ones... after all, Blizz employee stated its ok to use proxy servers... as long as you dont use it to do dodgy things like hide your true identity.

Also if you state your case to them in the event that you do get suspended... they will remove the suspension.

I had exactly the same issue as mentioned by the OP. I used Skype to phone Blizzard and spent an hour on the phone, waiting.

Eventually got through, got told that it did sound like a proxy issue and the Your Freedom (mentioned specifically) was not allowed. Your Freedom offers limited free accounts.

Point is - they didn't lift my suspension, even after numerous emails and the phone call. I had to wait 72 hours to play again.

Since then I have stuck to only using Gamemax for my proxy needs, and so far no issues (well, not from Blizzard, I do DC in WG which sucks a lot).

My brother has been using Your Freedom for longer than I have been using Gamemax and he has not been suspended or warned, go figure.
 
well that sucks because I have used nothing else but gamemax and i got suspended :(

still that is even if that is the reason for all this crap...urg I would just like too hear something from them that would actually shed some light on the issue!
 
I did nothing else but use a proxy either, my account is clean and almost four years old now.

I think Blizzard flags an account after you tell them that you use a proxy. I had to send a picture of my ID and game serial code as proof of my identity - serious stuff.

Maybe they will leave me alone now :P
 
so did the skype thing it worked fine spoke too a guy and verified my information. started getting somewhere and all of a sudden he cant hear me..im screaming etc I can hear him fine but he cant hear me :(

He says...if i can hear him i should call back. I do so and they are closed...ffs! :'(

When I can play its ok but if for some reason I cant it feels even worse...lol. Ill try again tomorrow. Curse working late!
 
So on thursday my account issue was lifted even though the suspension was only suppose too be lifted on friday. So from then I have not used gamemax the entire weekend. Made sure I have nothing lurking on my pc. changed every possible password. And carried on lvling my death knight over the weekend and dinged 80.

Today doing some heroics going into CoT HC I get a gm message so i though it was about a issue i reported the other day. Oh no he tells me. We believe your account has been compromised and it will be locked. I ask him what is it they picked up because it me playing and he just ignores my question and i get logged off. Told too check for a email that I still have not received.

WTF is going on?! Are they doing this so I buy one of those silly authenticator things. I am totally frustrated with this situation. I mean I play wow too have some fun and relax and this is making me stress and over nothing at that. Because I know its impossible that someone else would have my password details. And ofc its sunday so I cant even call their **** helpdesk/accounts department and scream at them too wake up!
 
I didn't try and play until Saturday and so far no problems. Running without Gamemax though but using the registry hack and getting about 350ms.

Just something interesting I'm picking up now. You said you reported some other matter to the GM, thinking that he was responding to that? Well, when I got banned, I reported another player that looked like he was using some kind of hack to fly around WG and mine stuff.

Memory a bit blurry, but this was in close proximity to my actual banning. Could it be that if you report gold farmers they somehow find a way to report you back and get you banned? Very conspiracy theory-ish, but interesting nonetheless...
 
Well I got a wisper from a guy asking if i had a spare account too which I made a ticket. I mean these are the real bad guys. I had a chat with a very nice Gm that reported it and was going too check the said account. I mean we even talked about him leveling his mage and stuff.

I made a point too now report ever single damned gold spammer in trade etc and this is what I get. A ban.

Tbh I dont know anymore. I have nothing too hide and they treat me like im the bad guy :(

I mean it makes me angry that almost every day I see loads and loads of goldsellers/account stealers spamming in trade and in stormwind even dead bodies in Stormwind spelling out website names too said gold sites and they do nothing about it but ban me...go figure.

Ye, I also got a whisper asking if I had a spare account.

I just joke around with them, but I think there might be some kind of vengeance thing going on when you report them, crazy, but weird.
 
yes...u know i still say. Why is it so hard too confirm somethings with the player before just closing or locking your account. I mean it should be possible too resolve this bans/suspensions in another way. Instead of making it impossible for you too even post on tech forums or something atleast give you some line of communication too a gamemaster that would check these things with you online/even with ingame voice chat. That the thing that makes it so frustrating for me. Its this email communication. Its so un personal. I want too talk too someone. And holding for blizzard account support is totally crap...
 
I have just been handed a 72hr ban. I sent a very harsh and strongly worded reply back to Blizzard. I dont care what they think, but I sure am going to make it a living hell for whoever I deal with. Its utterly rediculous that they allow **** like pkpkg.com to remain in front of the AH, let mining hackers roam Sholazar basin/WG, gold sellers openly sell in front of the AH yet they ban the wrong people.

I must say i am fuming about this. I know im one of the 11million players out there, but saying this I think its rediculous the way they treat people. Its amazing how large events can stem from something small. A few disgruntled users here and there can quickly turn into a large mob.
 
Have a friend whose account has also just got the same 72 hour suspension out of nowhere email.

Acc since vanilla wow, beta even, and i know that no gold selling etc has been going on.

I do know that he has recently started playing again, and using gamemax to do it, and in my opinion, that is the reason why this has happend.
 
Looks like gamemax's user base is becoming too large to slip under the radar.

It is all well and fine for Blue to post this but it doesn't seem that the folk that ban players got the memo :(

I haven't used Gamemax since my suspension and haven't received a reply to any of my emails from Blizz.

I agree it totally crap that they allow the gold sellers/account stealers too still stick around but if you do something too improve your gaming experiance they ban you for it. And then totally fail at communicating with you.

Its like the damn metro police that would rather pull over the people talking on cellphones then stopping the taxi's driving in the yellow line or directing traffic at the robot that is out.
 
What does a WOW account cost nowadays? I've had an offer with some expansion packs etc and want to know if it's worth it.
