Accounts Manager Overview:
The job of the Accounts Manager is to support the clients to achieve greater sustainability through attracting support and investment together with strengthening the capacity of leaders.
You will be required to ensure that daily management obligations are met, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the organisation in a typical environment of change.

Details:
This will be a contract for 1 year, with a probationary period of 3 months, and the possibility of a full-time position thereafter.
Looking for someone to start ideally on 1 December 2014. Applicants must be willing to relocate to Cape Town if needed.

- Events management experience

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work in an open-plan office with music playing in the background / other distractions

- Social media marketing skills a bonus

- Liaising with clients as needed
- Liaising with third party service providers
- Bringing on board new clients
- Attending events and meetings
- Administrative work:
- Managing databases
- Electronic/telephonic communication
- NPO member management
- Preparing/editing documentation
- Sourcing quotes
- Administration of mailing systems, Google docs, etc
- Setting up surveys and managing responses
- Events management
- Drafting project plan, monitoring milestones
- Sourcing quotes as needed, liaising with service providers
- Maintaining databases
- Drafting programme
- Liaising with organisers, speakers, delegates
- Attending on day to assist with set up, registrations, etc
- Approaching and engaging with sponsors, liaising with sponsors as needed
- Project management
- Drafting project plans with budgets, monitoring milestones
- Sourcing quotes, liaising with service providers
- Updating plans and reporting on progress
- Committee / working group management
- Setting up meetings, sending reminders, managing RSVPs
- Drafting and circulating agenda
- Taking minutes
- Setting deadlines and following up on action items
- Managing handover from one committee to the next
- Marketing
- Updating social media platforms with relevant news
- Drafting and/or editing press releases
- Editing website on WordPress
- Liaising with PR company and web support on deliverables
