Just some feedback on this router.
Cyberdyne sells it for about R450 ex.
It has the connexant chipset and includes a 4-port switch.

My Netgear router is in for repairs, so I decided to get a cheap replacement router for backup usage. This Aceex was the cheapest router I could find so I bought it.

My word. I was expecting a dreadful product but this thing is amazing. It has almost every feature of the Netgear that costs almost 3x as much. It has a very nice clean web interface -> Generic Conexant interface. About the only feature I could not find was automatic DynDNS updating.

Setup was as easy as popping in the telephone line, entering the account and psw, and after a quick 10-second reboot I was online. Amazing. With the netgear I still had to change something here and there to get it to connect.

I can really recommend this router. It has every little feature you need in a router, comes at an unbeatable price and works without a hitch.

Be advised it comes without a line filter and lightning protector.

I have to buy a ADSL router soon as my line should be installed next week.
I've been looking at this one :-

bb_matt, you buy that one yet? It looks pretty good.
Some user feedback would be cool - anyone got one?

No - bit of problem with delivery / cash / line installation.

Everything has kinda happened all in the wrong order. My line installation is tommorrow. Online ordering from Sybaritic will take until next Friday to get delivery and I'm still waiting for payments of invoices so I can't afford a modem yet ! - haha - bloody typical.

Got my eye on a Planet 4 port from Cable Applications - http://www.cables.co.za/
Either that or the 1 port one. 4 port is R746.7 with VAT, 1 port is R598.50 with VAT
Not bad prices.

Sigh - time to phone client AGAIN about invoices ...
Would be just my luck to have an ADSL line installed and no modem ! :)

Vat hom Fluffy!
