Acer Notebook A/C Adapter

Hey guys, I have an Acer 8100 travelmate series laptop and looks like the powerbrick has given up.
Was wondering if anyone knew a walk in store in the Jhb/Sandton area where I could pick one up?

I read another thread that said Hi-fi corp might stock generic type ones - is this a good bet? Also searching on the net I see some prices around R500 for a replacement - is that the kinda price I can expect to pay?

Pretty much - prices range from R500 to R1000! So for an Acer one R500 isn't unreasonable.

Try searching on the web, people were selling them on Bidorbuy and stuff.

Go to Matrix computers and buy a universal notebook adapter, you should pay around R250-00 and they work 100%.
