Acer TM TimelineX - worth the wait?

I will shortly be in the market for a new laptop. I am considering a small and light machine with the following minimum specs:
i5 processor (SandyBridge)
11-13.3 inch display (leaning towards the lower end of the scale)
Win7 Pro
Long battery life

I quite fancy the Acer TimelineX series laptops, but the current models still use the 1st gen i5 CPUs. Should I hold out for the 2nd gen CPUs, go with what's available today, or look to other brands?

Suggestions/recommendations?
