Hi

I am looking for some nice song I can play solo on Acoustic guitar as well as some nice singalong camp fire songs.

The solo song needs to make people fall silent to listen

Really depends on the crowd around the camp fire and your talent... not the actual song, but... Cats in the Cradle should do it.

People from the late 80s. So from Metallica to classics and we love Mumford but I know the songs from Mumford
 
Patience by Guns and Roses or Thank You by Led Zeppelin for the acoustic solo? Or maybe acoustic version of something from the album Nevermind by Nirvana.
 
Polly by Nirvana, although the subject matter is not really cheerful if that's what you're looking for.
 
it also depends what you are into, there is nothing worse than sitting listening to someone play songs they don't even really know or like, don't play for the crowd - play for you - and the crowd will follow :P
 
So while we on the topic....most Nickleback songs can be played on acoustic and sound AWESOME, as well as Creed, Nirvana, Guns 'n Roses, Audioslave.... and if you looking for some quiter mellow tunez you should look at some Coldplay and James Blunt etc, just my 2c :whistle:

And last but not least, one of my favourites to play because they sound so damn good and are *** easy to play is BUSH :P
