Hallo guys, (and girls...)

Whenever I try to install Windows XP the first time, I get a
Code:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

With Tech Information:

Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x00050224, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0xF73AD51F)

acpi.sys - Address F73AD51F base at F73AD000

Date stamp 41107D27

This error happens right after setup says Starting Windows...

I presume the acpi.sys has to do with the Advanced Power Management. I have disabled ACPI in the BIOS but to no avail.

Install is from a Original XP SP2 Axiz CD. Tried another CD, same error.

We have about 40 of these machines and this is the only one giving this error.

Specs are:
Processor
915 Intel Pentium D LGA775 2.80GHz 800Mhz FSB 2x2M Cache, EM64T, XD, EIST, Dual Core

Hard disk drive
Samsung, 160Gb, 7200rpm, 8mb cache, NCQ, SATA-300

Optical drives
Axiz 52x Black OEM CD-ROM Drive

Memory type
Axiz 2 x 512MB DDR2-533MHz PC4700 240 Pin CL4 DIMM Memory Module (Dual Mode Capable)

Chipset
Intel 'Iselton' 946GZ

Graphic Card
Graphics GMA3000

Try booting from a live Linux CD and see?

Methinks the motherboard is a wee bit funny, and should be exchanged :)

I got that the last time I did a re-install. Taking everything out and reseating it all... including the processor fixed it.

I have seen this error before in the following 2 instances:

* Badly seated AMD CPU- Reseating solved it
* Damaged chip on motherboard
