I got a new PPC this weekend and with Windoes Mobile 5 you have to use Activesync 4 - this really sucks, it does not want to integrate with outlook 2003, Avantgo won't sync giving cryptic errors like support code: 8501xxxxx. What a downgrade. This sucks. Typical Microsoft. And the worst part Windoze mobile 5 does not work with previous versions of activesync. I feel like taking the bloody thing back.

There surely should be some upgates to fix that... otherwise I would take it back. (wait a while and the price will drop and updates will be releaced then buy it again)
Damn, I eventually got it going. ActiveSync 4 now creates a network link to the PPC. I reloaded Office 2003 (well a repair) and it picked up Outlook. With Avantgo I cleared all settings on the avantgo site and it eventually worked - so after a day I got it all working again - now to get the work PC set up - that could take the rest of my Monday morning as I want to do it via B/Tooth.
