Thanks but there's a trick: the web app works via your phone. This means that you must already have a working version of WhatsApp on your phone and link it to the Chrome browser on your computer for it to work. It actually works quite nicely via Android though Chrome on my MacBook but there's no iOS support yet. Never mind Ubuntu...
