For my sins I have been with MTN, via Supercall SP, for 11 years now. In the past I have had Supercall load a 1Gb data bundles onto my existing SIM, just so I can access my office mail server when I am away from office.

I understand that it is only valid for 30 days, with no rollover facility  but now they say that the month HAS to run from the 17th of each month, to expire on the 16th of the next month. This is not negotiable they claim. So, if I load a DB now, it will expire in 4 days time. After which I must get another data bundle loaded.

When will the SPs and MTN realise that customers may want an ad hoc DB to commence at a different date to that of their (compulsory) 17th of each month?

It frustrates me that they cannot seem able to offer what the customer wants & needs. Even when we are prepared to pay their exorbitant data costs

They usually charge you pro-rata rates if you switch data bundles over the month. So if you sign up for a 1gig bundle with 4 days left they only allocate you 1/15th of the data (because there's only 1/15th of the month left) and they charge you 1/15th of the price. Well that's how MTN SP works anyway.

What you're describing is similar to the Pay as you go system where you can only load 1 data bundle in a 30 day period.
