Hey all,

I'm trying to flash my HTC One M7 with a GPE RUU but I'm having some trouble.

I'm on hboot 1.44
S-Off
CID: 1111111

I have tried Minimal ADB/Fastboot, 15 second installer and manually installing it via the SDK. I think I'm having driver issues. I tried on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. ADB works on all 3, but Windows will not "see" any Fastboot devices.

It just shows up as either "Android 1.0" "Failed to enumerate" or it shows up as usual but wont be found in adb/fastboot.

Yes, I am in fastboot mode, yes I tried on different PCs with different cables.

pls respond ;_;

Honestly the drivers for this sort of thing are awful on Windows. Best option is too use a Linux distro if you can.
You are more likely to receive help on the XDA forums though rather than here.

Just make sure you are not using a USB 3.

Have you managed to install recovery yet or not?

Nope, running a completely stock ROM with stock recovery.
Can you give me some direction on using Linux for this? I went through the trouble of installing a fresh Windows 7 install on a spare PC so I don't mind installing Debian and trying on that.

XDA for HTC devices has really died down since the M8 :(

Here is a thing on how to install the stuff on each operating system:

I find that a nice fresh new linux works better. Doesn't have the driver issues.
I can't really give the full process (don't remember).
Haven't done this for htc in a long time :P But I still have an HDD lying around somewhere with Ubuntu setup for adb and fastboot.

Fired up a VM and tried it out; ADB worked perfectly, but like Windows, Fastboot just didn't. Going to do a physical install now and try again.
