Can i add a psu and use that psu to power graphics card and riser? or does the risers all have to be powered from the primary psu?

this is for my mining rig hence posting here.

any other dos and donts would be appreciated for doing the dual psu thing.
 
Some of my risers are powered from my main PSU and some from the alternate PSU. Should be any problem
