I hope someone can help me out here,

Our company owner purchased a 24 month 2gb month contract in her personal capacity and has lent the dongle to an employee working from home now. The 2gb cap has been hit and I need to top it up from my home. I don't have access to the owners account or myvodacom app etc. I do have the mobile number of the dongle and that about it.

I can't go by a voucher and sms him the code as he has not way of entering it on the dongle, he's not that clued up with tech stuff and we don't have the log on details for the dongle anyway. Everything is sitting locked up in a filling cabinet at work and everyone is working from home.

The only way I can think of trying is using my FNB account and buying data for that number, but i have no idea if it will work.

If it is a top-up contract type, it will probably work. Do a test with a small (data bundle) purchase first, then have the person restart the computer/dongle and report back to you.
Also, if that particular SIM is not yet linked to a MyVodacom app account, you can add it to your MyVodacom app under My Products. (Or you can create a separate login for that particular SIM, on a separate app download.)
Edit: From your -- or anyone's -- Vodacom SIM, you can transfer (portions of) existing data bundles to other Vodacom SIM cards via the USSD command menu: *111# then Next then Services then Next then Data Transfer.
