Adding Gmail contacts on iPad

I can't see where or how to add them :/

I've got the app and tried Chrome - but no idea?
Is it possible?

I use an app called IM+ Pro. Excellent app that works with most IM's clients including GTalk. U can get the free version as well which is called IM+. This app added my gmail contacts.

Problem is I have just started using Gmail and need to enter all my contact into Gmail as opposed to the phone.

I don't have time to do them all in one go at the PC at home - so thought I could use my iPad when free for a few minutes

For some reason it is not possible if you add Gmail through the standard setup (i.e. selecting Gmail from the list in the wizard). If you add Gmail as an "Exchange" account it works.

Strange but true. The exchange option is the way to go.

I think this is a sneaky move by apple to frustrate users into thinking that gmail doesn't work 100% on their devices. Seriously, what else could their reasoning be?

Yeh... add gmail account using the Exchange Server option (google has a guide on it)
